|
Eric Knight
Married to Michelle Knight, has 1 child, daughter - Diana
Graduated from Purdue with a Bachelor of Science (Computer Technology)
Has been in the Technology industry for over 12 years. Has worked with Indy Racing League for 4 years.
Title: Project Developer for Timing and Scoring
Duties:
* Grunt - Travel to New Events, Road Courses, to act as extra body for moving large equipment.
* Act as Butt of Jokes - my clumsy ways leads to broken equipment and
bodily harm to myself and others (This is the general source of all the fun-making).
Fell off a forklift at St. Pete, after offloading timing and scoring equipment from a double height mobile office.
Almost pulled a 100 lb pole off the roof at Texas my first year.
Ripped the front of a very expensive Cisco Router and a Cisco Firewall in haste to move equipment at St. Pete event.
My real reason for continued employment at the League, as I am the number 1 source of entertainment.
The last time I used the phrase, "hey 'yall, watch this!!!" I ended
up with a buffalo wing painting the front of my brand new white shirt that was as a part of my uniform.
* Database Administrator
* Programmer/Application Development (Jon comes up with the idea, I write the code/application to accomplish it, i.e. Points and Prize Money, Race Control, etc.)
