Phil Casey
Having worked his way up the ladder on the mechanical side of motor sports, Phil
has made a name for himself all along the way as a winner.
From mechanic, to Chief Mechanic, to Crew
Chief, Phil was called upon to become Technical Director from the inception of
the IRL. When Leo Mehl came up with the idea of the Safer Barrier, Phil was made
the point man in its development. The results of which have been nothing short
of spectacular.
Now retired to playing golf in California,
he is still slightly involved with racing as a consultant. He'll now spend more time on his charity
golf tournament that has grown to be a "must do" event.
