Pete Hylton
A legend in his own right in the world of motorsports. A competition driver for 25 years, Hylton has been active in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) since 1973. In January 2007, he received the SCCA's highest honor, the Woolf Barnato Award, for his service to the organization. Pete, who served on the SCCA board of directors for nine years, remains the youngest-ever elected member of that body.
A former engineer for the aerospace industry, Pete turned his passion for motorsports into a new career in 2003 when he accepted a faculty position at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). As Associate Professor in IUPUI's s School of Engineering & Technology where he directs the IUPUI Motorsports Program which offers students hands-on training and experience in competitive motorsports.
The Purdue University board of trustees on Friday (Feb. 8) ratified a bachelor's degree program in motorsports engineering at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
The bachelor's degree program in motorsports engineering at IUPUI is designed to augment a currently existing program on the campus. The School of Engineering and Technology currently offers a motorsports technology certificate program, in which more than 30 students are currently enrolled.

Dick Dixon
The Director of Motorsports at the School of Business at Marian College in Indianapolis. He has developed the curriculum for courses in Race Team Management, Sports Marketing and Sponsorship, Motorsports Promotion, Motorsports Internships, The Survey of the Motorsports Industy, Automotive Business Marketing and Management. He also runs a High School Motorsports Education Camp as well as is key liason to high performance automotive aftermarket and motorsports manufacturers.
Prior to coming to Marian College, he served as Director at California State University San Bernadino. Dick has been a professional race car driver and driver instructor for CART, NASCAR, and Ford. He has published in numerous publications, presented at many trade/media shows, and has a textbook coming out this fall.
