Our First Guest for Nov. 18
|
Brendyn "Tyce" Carlson
A former driver in the Indy Racing League. He raced in the 1996-2002 seasons with 30 career starts, including 2 at the Indianapolis 500. His 2 career IRL top ten finishes both came at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the 1999 and 2000 races. He was forced to take several years off after repeated concussions, but is now healthy. He drove in the 2006 Freedom 100.
In a move from the cockpit Tyce has undertaken a new direction. True to its harmonious name, Alliance Racing, the trio of Jeff Matthews, Chris Williams and Tyce Carlson aligned business savvy with friendship and a lifelong passion for racing into active participation in the 2008 Firestone Indy Lights season.
There is little doubt that the 2008 events held at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio will be remembered for anything less than eventful, as the double-header weekend generated some fantastic racing, and memorable finishes. In the eyes of the Alliance Motorsports team, the weekend will be remembered for its first podium finish, with former series champion Wade Cunningham at the wheel, as an organization, and realizing the contributions of everyone involved with the program paying off.
Tyce spends his time as a Real Estate Broker when not chasing his passion for racing.

Our Second Scheduled Guest
|
Jeff Matthews
A life long resident of Speedway, Indiana Jeff graduated from Speedway High School and Indiana State University. The first job Jeff got was in the flooring business. He was successful, but racing still was in his mind.
His interest in becoming involved in IndyCar racing got a jump start from Paul Diatlovich and PDM Racing in 1998. That year PDM put all time great open wheel racer Jack Hewitt in the car and he qualified for the 500.
This past January Jeff got a call from longtime friend Tyce Carlson asking if he would be interested in joining him in team ownership. Needless to say that with Tyce, Jeff and two more lifelong friends they formed Alliance Motorsports, LLC.
